Briafield N3 – Home Extension & Patio

We worked at a small family terraced house which was owned by a young couple who required more space on the ground floor. They were originally provided an estimate by another building company, but were unfortunately let down and work was not able to go ahead.

We were contacted shortly after to take over the project. It took approximately 3.5 months from beginning to completion;  the project itself was fairly complex as the site had quite a few retaining walls. As part of the project, more patio space was required so we needed to push the garden back to create an additional 3 metres of floor space. We really enjoyed working on the project, there was excellent synergy between us and the client and we’re both very satisfied with the outcome.

As an extremely fussy client with particular attention to detail, Dror was patient and helpful, taking the time to explain and make sure I was comfortable with the process before the build commenced, this was the reason I chose MND Properties above several other firms who provided quotes.

The team delivered a professional job and were courteous throughout the process. They were punctual and reliable, on site at 8am and working through until the end of the day. The team were well organised and focused, Mirek in particular stood out as the star in the team, with the right combination of communication skills, attention to detail and building expertise. The site was cleared and secured each evening and they were careful to minimise mess and disruption to the rest of the property.

The team managed the building control visits and liaised with the architect where necessary. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently, the technical aspects were well executed. The internal and external tiling in particular was very well done.

Communication with the site manager was a challenge, but Dror managed any queries and issues quickly and efficiently. Dror was always available by phone and email to discuss any points and he also visited the site regularly to check on progress.

I recommend MND Properties as a reputable and professional firm for large or small scale property renovations and for general building projects. I am delighted with my extension, it has made a big difference to my home and lifestyle.

Hampstead Way NW11 – Kitchen Renovation

We were originally asked to develop a new open-plan kitchen in a semi-detached house situated in the Hampstead Garden Suburbs, which is owned by a retired couple. The original kitchen was small with a number of separating walls. As the building is fairly old, it had penetrating damp in many of the walls and windows so we needed to treat these effectively.

As the original project went so well, our client had placed their trust in us and subsequently asked us to renovate their shower and bathroom, replace their old electrical system and develop a new patio.

We really enjoyed working with the retired couple who were very clear about their needs from the start. We worked with them closely throughout the project to find solutions to problems that had arisen from previously unseen complexities.

Park Hill Road NW6 – Extension & Renovation

This project was commissioned by a wonderful young lady who owned a terraced house on Park Hill Road. We were contacted by her to renovate an existing conservatory and merge this space through to the sitting room to create a more habitable area. Our client was well involved from the start and we were able to develop creative solutions for some urgent issues that had been spotted early on by our Project Manager.

As part of this project we were required to design and build a new patio, renovate the kitchen, remove separating walls & create an extension. We also fitted a new electrical system. Since the completion of this project our relationship with our client has flourished and we have been recently asked to renovate an outdoor pathway.

 

 

Hull Flat Development & Renovation

As part of our wider business initiatives we are often asked to work on commercial developments. This project involved the conversion and renovation of a 9850 sq. foot office building into 24 build-to-let apartments.

We partnered with investors and were required to take full charge of the design, construction and building works of this office building to flat conversion project. The development began in February 2016 and all 24 flats were completed by December 2016.

Pakenham Arms Pub Conversion 

We were asked to convert an established (grade 2 listed building) pub in Russell Square by a property investor. We converted the space on the top 2 floors into 4 modern apartments which were to be used for short-lets, and the pubs’ main floor was converted into a restaurant.

Overseas Development

M&D Properties planned to build a 3300 sq. foot luxurious smart home villa complete with a swimming pool in an overseas property development project. We managed the full scope of work, including the structural and architectural planning, and all construction and design. This project took approximately 14 months to build from scratch.
